Former ECW and TNA wrestler New Jack is set to retire after the first week of April, according to Pro Wrestling Syndicate.

The promotion announced that New Jack will be appearing on its PWS Super Card 2013 event in Metuchen, N.J. on April 4 and April 5. The second night will see him face Necro Butcher in what they are billing as his retirement match.

Never afraid of controversy, New Jack has been in semi-retirement for some years, but still wrestles independently occasionally. The news comes on the heels of the retirement of his former ECW co-worker Jerry Lynn. New Jack, real name Jerome Young, will retire at the age of 50, having debuted in 1992 in ECW.
