Famous WWE play-by-play man Jim Ross had high praises for WWE Superstar Dolph Ziggler last night during his match with Kofi Kingston.

Ross himself signed Ziggler following a successful wrestling career at Kent State University. “Good Ol’e J.R.” served as the Executive Vice-President of Talent Relations for the early parts of the 2000s.

Ziggler was not originally booked for a match at Sunday’s Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, but came to the ring to cut a promo prior to the main event. Smackdown General Manager Booker T then announced Mr. Money in the Bank would be facing a man who matched the “Show-Off” in the ring and athletically, the aforementioned Kingston. The two proceeded to have a match that was well-received by many.

It is not the first time Ziggler has drawn comparisons to Michaels, Gunn and Perfect, especially given his relations with Big E. Langston and AJ Lee (who many have stated mirror Michael’s run with “Sensational” Sherri and Diesel). On a related note, Langston would go on to attack Kingston following the conclusion of the bout.

Additionally, Ziggler guaranteed last week on WWE Main Event that he will cash in his Money in the Bank contract for the World Heavyweight Championship by WrestleMania. The current match set for WrestleMania 29 is the champion Alberto Del Rio defending his title against the now-No. 1 contender Jack Swagger.
