TNA wrestler Hernandez’s contract expired on Tuesday, marking his departure from the company. He took to Twitter to confirm the news and give insight to his future plans.
As my contract expired yesterday, I thank TNA -both wrestlers &staff for the last 8 years. Lots of ups and downs but good times nonetheless.

Hernandez, first name Shawn, made his TNA debut in November of 2003, eventually re-debuting in 2004 as a member of the Elite Guard stable. He is perhaps best known for his time in two different tag teams, Latin American Xchange and Mexican America. During his tenure, the 40-year-old Hernandez won the TNA Tag Team Championship five times, and the NWA Tag Team Championship twice.
Hernandez’s departure is just another of many TNA veterans leaving the company as of late. As noted earlier, Frankie Kazarian recently left as well.
Editor’s Note:
Have always enjoyed Hernandez’s work. For a big guy, he’s very agile and can put on a good match. Here’s to the best for him going forward.
