In 2009, Piper, Snuka, and Steamboat would make yet another WrestleMania moment for themselves. After Ric Flair told Jericho that he would have legends for him to face at WrestleMania 25, these three WWE Hall of Famers showed up to answer Y2J as “The Nature Boy’s” team.

Though they would come up short in the match, and all three would be eliminated by Jericho, their involvement with the match added a special bout to WrestleMania 25’s card. Piper shined during the first several minutes of the match, proving that he was the same “Hot Rod” that had main evented the inaugural WrestleMania 25 years prior.
