Last week, it was noted WWE Hall of Famer Scott Hall had signed on with Global Force Wrestling as one of its new “legends.” However, an incident at the Skate and Surf Festival in Asbury Park, New Jersey saw Hall, who was said to be incoherent, cause havoc that lead to him being escorted from the event. This caused his GFW deal to get pulled. But in a new interview with TMZ, Diamond Dallas Page comments on Hall’s alleged relapse.
Page, who has spent several years helping Hall get clean from his addictions, went to bat for his friend:
“Scott is going through a life process. He’s stumbled along the way, but he is doing well over all. I’ve got his back.”
The former WCW and WWE star used his DDP Yoga practices to help lead Hall towards a road of sobriety following an ugly E:60 piece several years back that portrayed his downfall in the public eye. He told TMZ Hall clearly “stumbled” in his road to recovery, but that is okay.
He additionally commented on another one of his friends and clients, one who he helped get into the WWE Hall of Fame as well:
“Even Jake ‘The Snake’ has fallen a few times, but he is now one year sober and doing great.”
Page told the outlet he planned to reach out to Hall soon to see if he could be of any assistance. The man once known as “Razor Ramon” recently returned to WWE television when he and fellow nWo members Kevin Nash and Hulk Hogan made a run-in during Sting and Triple H’s match at WrestleMania. The appearance was a one-off deal, which is what allowed him to sign with GFW in the first place.
Editor’s Note
Sad to hear, but hopefully DDP can help right him once more.
