WWE announcer Matt Striker has announced he has been released from the company.
In a tweet on Thursday evening, Striker revealed his contract would not be renewed and that he is now available for independent appearances.

Striker, real name Matthew Kaye, joined World Wrestling Entertainment in 2005, after famously quiting his full-time teaching job at Benjamin N. Cardozo High School, when the school board found out that he had been using sick days as a way to pursue his wrestling career.
