Earlier this month, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon appeared on “Stone Cold” Steve Austin’s podcast broadcast live on the WWE Network. During the interview, McMahon commented how today’s superstars need to “grab the brass ring” as John Cena did in order to become a mega-star.
Some wrestlers have since commented on the interview, and now another WWE personality is taking to Twitter to do so.
Former in-ring performer Alex Riley, who now serves as an analyst on the WWE Network, posted cryptic tweets claiming he is trapped inside a cage and needs to be free:
Don’t crack the door open for a Alex Riley, I WILL NOT hesitate to kick that bitch open! #BrassRing

Riley has not been an active, consistent in-ring competitor since 2011. He accompanied The Miz to ringside at WrestleMania XXVII when he defeated John Cena with help from The Rock.

Well…I don’t know if this is how to grab that brass ring…
