Michael Bay, director of the upcoming black comedy “Pain & Gain”, spoke out on Dwayne Johnson’s absence at the red carpet premier of the film. “He was pushing it too hard. He needs to grow up and stop wrestling 300lb men.”

While many are reporting this incident as an angry rant from one of Hollywood’s biggest directors, the actual interview with E! Online reveals that Bay was simply joking, and had wished The Rock well and a speedy recovery only seconds before.

The following video from BodyBuilding.com features Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and co-star Mark Wahlberg talking about bulking up and training for the film.
