Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis recently departed from TNA, but their latest run included no shortage of accolades. That included a Knockouts Championship for Maria, and an X Division Championship for Mike.

Now, Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription required) is speculating that the couple is WWE-bound. Following their departure from Impact, Bennett won a title in the independent Northeast Wrestling promotion on March 3rd. Now, just two weeks later, Cody Rhodes has won that same championship.

Winning and losing a title in such a short time is usually a cause for suspicion, and it seems that Mike and Maria are being secretive about where they’re going next–that typically means WWE.

Maria had a six-year run in WWE, though it was at perhaps the lowest point for the company’s female division. Fans these days might even know her better from this New Japan clip which saw her dancing for the AJ Styles and the Bullet Club.

It would, however, be Mike’s first time in WWE. Since 2008, he’s appeared in Ring of Honor, New Japan Pro Wrestling, and TNA, but has yet to complete the journey to wrestling biggest promotion.

It’s all speculation for now, but there’s a solid chance we’ll be seeing some new face in WWE very soon.
