We are less than a week away from WrestleMania, and there’s just a single episode each of Raw and SmackDown separating us from WWE’s biggest event.
Tonight’s Raw is going down in Philadelphia, PA, so you can expect a raucous crowd–one that reports say is already sold out. But what’s actually on the card? Very little, as you might expect from the show immediately preceding a major pay-per-view. With minimal matches booked, tonight’s show is all about building up to Sunday’s event.
The headliners tonight are Goldberg and Brock Lesnar, who’ll both be in the arena to promote their Universal Championship match at WrestleMania. We’ll also have segments promoting the Women’s Championship Fatal Four-Way, Chris Jericho vs. Kevin Owens, and Undertaker vs. Roman Reigns–though the Deadman is not advertised for an appearance tonight.
In addition to the storylines progressed, we’ll also have one more match booked for the big show. (Not the Big Show, he’s already scheduled for the Battle Royal.) Seth Rollins will respond to Triple H’s challenge for an unsanctioned match, which will finally see the longest-promoted match for this year’s show actually get added to the card.
Plus there’s one more dangling plot thread that WWE is promising to address tonight. Mick Foley got fired last week, leaving open the position of Raw GM. With everyone from Kurt Angle to Eric Bischoff being speculated to fill the role, it’s one of the more interesting developments on Raw–though we don’t really expect to see anyone fill the position until next week’s show.
We’ll have live coverage of everything as it happens, so stick around for the latest!
