Goldberg is know as a dangerous man. Sometimes, a dangerous man meets a dangerous opponent. And sometimes, that dangerous opponent is a door.
If you tuned in for Goldberg’s appearance on Monday night, you certainly saw the continuous trickle of blood on his forehead. As Corey Graves explained on commentary, Goldberg makes a tradition of headbutting the door on his way out of the locker room. Last night, it seems that blow hit just a little too hard.
His promo was noticeably shaky once he made it to the ring, with three false starts before he actually hit his talking points. You might chalk that up to being rusty, if not for the excellent, intense in-ring promos he delivered in the run-up to Survivor Series.
Two major possibilities here. One: Goldberg hit his locker room headbutt far too hard and knocked a couple of brain cells loose. Two: WWE gave him far more scripted promo material than before, and he struggled with the very obvious Royal Rumble shill.
Goldberg himself says the former might be closer to the truth.

Does it matter either way? Nah. Despite a shaky start, it was a great segment that had the arena exploding for the subsequent reveals of Brock Lesnar and the Undertaker.
