It’s the final pay-per-view before WrestleMania, and Fastlane promises to answer some of the biggest questions we’ve had going into WWE’s biggest show. All of Raw’s titles are on the line—aside from the US Championship and its sadly-wrecked owner—so there’s a lot at stake for the red brand’s biggest stars.
Neville has put some much-needed fire in the division since declaring himself King of the Cruiserweights, and the lightweight competitors finally have a babyface the audience can get behind in the lovable English gentleman, Jack Gallagher. Yet it didn’t seem this match would go Jack’s way, with rumblings of a WrestleMania contest between Neville and Austin Aries for the championship. Could the Gentleman prove us wrong?
The Gentleman couldn’t get it done, but the Cruiserweight Title match proved to be an early highlight of the show. Gallagher and Neville gave it their all, with headbutts, snap suplexes, a phoenix splash from the middle rope and far more. The end result saw Neville retain with a Red Arrow, but not before “this is awesome” chants rang out.
Fastlane is a Raw-branded pay-per-view running live on the WWE Network from the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In case you’ve lost track, it leaves us less than 30 days away from WrestleMania in Orlando on April 2nd. Check in for even more live coverage here, on Facebook, and on Twitter!
