It’s SmackDown Live’s final show before WrestleMania, and most of the blue brand’s titles are on the line. We’re promised a “new” Elimination Chamber, and we expect the titular six-man title match to be a great one.
On top of that, WWE’s hottest young tag team tries to ride their momentum to the top of the card, three major feuds prove the blue brand’s women’s division isn’t getting left behind, Ziggler continues trying to convince the world he’s really a bad guy, and former Wyatt brothers settle things inside the ring.
Of all the people who could turn on the Wyatt Family, perhaps the most surprising was Luke Harper. Despite a brief singles run that saw him in great matches as Intercontinental Champion, a sudden face turn was a big shock that left us excited about the possibilities. However, facing his former Wyatt brother, Randy Orton—a Royal Rumble winner set for WrestleMania’s marquee match—didn’t leave a lot of room for a Harper victory. So how did it turn out?
No surprises here. Orton and Harper put on a fantastic show, but all it took was an RKO outta nowhere to see Orton victorious and pointing at the WrestleMania sign.
