After weeks of speculation, we now officially have a match.
Before the announcement, Corporate Kane and Rollins were cutting promos in the ring regarding being tag team partners for the Main Event match set later in the evening. After a few minutes, McMahon came down to the ring, stating it was time for the two men to settle their issues.
In addition to setting the match for the World Heavyweight Championship, McMahon also set the stipulation that if Demon Kane were to lose the match, Corporate Kane would be relieved of his duties as Director of Operations.
Kane and Rollins have been feuding over the last few weeks, stemming from Rollins further injuring Kane’s ankle after a Brock Lesnar attack a few months ago. After his match with Sting at “Night of Champions,” Rollins was attacked by a returning Demon Kane, and has been stalked by him ever since.
During the WWE Network Live Event Special from Madison Square Garden on Oct. 4, Rollins took on John Cena in a Steel Cage Match for the United States Championship. Demon Kane would come down to the ring, causing Cena to get the victory and retain his title.
It seems as though the feud between these two men could be coming to an end in three weeks.
Editor’s Note:
We all saw this coming a mile away, as Rollins needed someone to fight after Sting. With Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker III on the card, there is NO WAY this match is the Main Event. I still think these two can put on a solid match with good intensity. Is this where we see a Demon Kane win with a Sheamus cash-in so Corporate Kane keeps his job?
