I guess it’s not smart to get on the bad side of Stephanie McMahon.

Announced by Stephanie McMahon during a backstage segment, The New Day will be defending their WWE Tag Team Championships against The Dudley Boyz live from The Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on Oct. 25.

During the segment, McMahon mentioned to The New Day about how she watched the WWE Network Live Event Special on Oct. 4 from Madison Square Garden, in which The New Day got intentionally disqualified in their Tag Team Championship match with The Dudley’s. McMahon then made the match for the pay-per-view, as punishment for The New Day’s actions.

The New Day and The Dudley Boyz have been feuding consistently over the past few months, each time leading to a self-disqualification by Xavier Woods. In addition, The New Day have started the “#SaveTheTables” campaign, boycotting The Dudley’s attempt to put them through tables; however, this campaign was for not, as Woods constantly finds himself put through a table.

The Dudley’s are on a quest to become the 10 time WWE World Tag Team champions, while The New Day are looking to continue the “Dudley Retirement Tour.”

Will the numbers game continue to catch up on them, or will The Dudley’s finally capture the titles for a 10th time?

Editor’s Note:

I LOVE everything The New Day does, but at some point their extra man advantage is going to be used against them. At some point, The Dudley’s WILL become 10 time champions, I just don’t know if it’s that time yet. I feel they will ultimately face off in a TLC Match for the titles, and I can’t think of a more fitting way for them to win the titles.
