WWE Tag Team Championship Match Announced for “Money In The Bank”
On Tuesday, June 2, during tapings for the June 4 “Smackdown,” a WWE Tag Team Championship Match was announced for the upcoming WWE Pay-Per-View, “Money In The Bank,” which will air on the WWE Network and select Cable companies on June 14. The New Day, most notably Big E and Xavier Woods, will face the Prime Time Players, Titus O’Neil and Darren Young at the annual PPV event.
The Prime Time Players were the last team surviving against The New Day on May 31 in the first-ever WWE Tag Team Championship Elimination Chamber Match at the PPV event based around the Elimination Chamber. The New Day would get the victory and retain their titles by all three pinning O’Neil during “Elimination Chamber.”
As Kofi Kingston was facing Dolph Ziggler during the June 1 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” the rest of The New Day stood by at ringside, until Ziggler stole a victory from Kingston with a roll-up. The New Day then attacked Ziggler, bringing out the Prime Time Players to make the save. A Six-Man Tag match then ensued, which saw O’Neil get the pin over Woods.
The Prime Time Players will now face The New Day for the WWE Tag Team Championship at “Money In The Bank” on June 14. You can see the rest of the confirmed match-card here.
Editor’s Note:
This should be a good match if each team brings the fire to the bout that they showed during “RAW.” I’m not mad at this.
