Bad News Barrett will likely not compete at “Money In The Bank.” As previously reported, Barrett was injured during the June 24 “Smackdown” tapings, and now it appears as if he will no longer be appearing in the Traditional Money in the Bank Ladder Match on June 29.
WWE.com has confirmed that Barrett injured his shoulder during the June 24 “Smackdown” tapings. Barrett, who is the current Intercontinental Champion, has reportedly suffered a separated shoulder, and it is currently uncertain as to how serious the injury is and when he will be able to return to action.
The injury reportedly occurred during a spot where Jack Swagger threw Barrett into the security barricade that surrounds the ring. Barrett instantly felt a “pop” and a lot of pain.
Barrett was favored to win the Money in the Bank briefcase on June 29. If you’d like to see how Barrett was injured, you can read our complete “Smackdown” spoilers report here.
