Dave Beachnau, the Executive Director of the Detroit Sports Commission, was recently quoted in The Windor Star as saying that WrestleMania 32 will not be in Detroit, Michigan.

As we previously reported, Detroit was one of the major cities bidding to host the WWE’s biggest annual event in 2016. Beachnau claimed he was informed in June that Detroit had lost the bid. Several weeks ago however, there were a slew of politicians in Windsor and several publications talking about what kind of money would need to be spent to ensure ‘Mania comes to Detroit Rock City.

Orlando, FL and Dallas, TX are the front runners for Mania 32, as noted in the article in The Windor Star. Orlando reportedly wants Wrestlemania to return to their city so bad, they have discussed upgrading the Citrus Bowl to make an arena more appeasing to the company. With the WWE moving into Orlando this year with their new WWE Performance Center, Orlando is definitely on the table. The company will make it’s final decision on a location for WrestleMania 31 and 32 very soon.
