Viewership for July 13’s “Monday Night Raw” drops from the previous week, as reported by ShowBuzzDaily.com. “RAW” saw a three percent drop in viewership from July 6, even with Brock Lesnar advertised for the program, and the fact that the show was the “go-home” edition of the flagship WWE program before WWE’s “Battleground” Pay-Per-View.
The July 13 edition of “RAW,” drew and average of 3.531 million viewers. July 6’s edition of the program drew an average of 3.647 million viewers. While the viewership was still in record-low territory, the numbers did increase from hour-to-hour, with the greatest amount of viewership taking place between 10 and 11 p.m. ET.
The first hour, which saw 3.432 million viewers, included Lesnar and Paul Heyman opening the show with a promo about the upcoming “Battleground” main event. It also saw the main roster debut of Charlotte, Becky Lynch, and NXT Women’s Champion Sasha Banks.
The second hour drew 3.514 million viewers, and included John Cena’s United States Championship “Open Challenge.” This segment turned into an amazing Triple Threat Match between Kevin Owens, Cesaro, and Rusev in order to determine who would face Cena for the US Title on the show. This segment would roll over into the the final hour of “RAW.”
The final hour saw 3.647 million viewers, Cena vs. Rusev for the United States Championship, the return of Stardust, and the contract signing for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship bout set to happen at “Battleground” between Lesnar and current champion Seth Rollins.
The most watched Cable TV program on July 13 was MLB’s All-Star Game Home Run Derby. The program drew 7.126 million viewers on ESPN.
Editor’s Note:
The show was good, but I guess months of bad shows aren’t going to grow the show’s numbers overnight.
