A new report from the December 3rd edition of Wrestling Observer Radio has provided an update on Sin Cara’s WWE status. As we previously reported, Hunico was the man under Sin Cara’s mask on “Monday Night Raw,” leaving the WWE Universe to question where the original Sin Cara, Mistico, was.

Mistico tweeted that he was in Mexico moments after the match between Sin Cara and Alberto Del Rio aired on “RAW,” confirming that it was not him under the mask, and that he was not present for the show. The comments from Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio claim that Mistico may be released from the WWE soon, but the company may want to continue using the character. Meltzer even goes as far to say that Mistico has been expecting a release from the company once his contract was up.

No one knows whether he has already been released or will be released in the next couple of weeks, but it appears like Mistico is done with the WWE.
