Tyson Kidd Undergoes Successful Neck Surgery
WWE superstar Tyson Kidd had successful neck surgery on June 24. As previously reported, Kidd will likely miss up to 14 months of in-ring action following the procedure.
Kidd suffered a neck injury during a non-televised match with Samoa Joe before a recent edition of “Monday Night Raw.” As previously reported, many backstage believe that it was a freak accident that cause the injury, and no one behind-the-curtain has pointed the finger of blame at Joe.
However, WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart, Uncle-in-Law to Kidd, who is married to Hart’s niece Natalya, begs to differ. He’s gone on record saying that Joe’s Muscle Buster finish is reckless, and that it is what caused the injury.
The procedure that Kidd had done was similar to the one that WWE Hall of Famers Edge, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Lita, and superstars Ryhno and the late Chris Benoit had, meaning it was a fusion. Natalya posted the following image of her husband and current WWE Tag Team Champion Titus O’Neil on Instagram following the surgery.
