Former UFC champion Tito Ortiz is “Mr. August 1 Warning.” Ortiz made his debut Thursday night on IMPACT WRESTLING in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Ortiz’s appearance on IMPACT WRESTLING comes just one day after Bellator announced that he would be coming out of retirement to face TNA and Bellator superstar Quinton “Rampage” Jackson at the company’s inaugural Pay-Per-View event on November 2nd.

Ortiz would appear during a segment between the Main Event Mafia and the Aces and Eights. He simply walked out onto the entrance ramp, arms folded, as TNA commentators expressively announced that he is behind all of the recent “August 1 Warning” videos.

With Ortiz and Jackson facing off in MMA competition in November, it seems as if Bellator and TNA will try to capitalize off of both men appearing on TNA’s weekly prime-time broadcast for publicity and promotion.

It is unsure as to how involved Ortiz will be when it comes to wrestling in a TNA ring, but for now, it looks like a storyline between Ortiz and Jackson is inevitable.
