Taz Officially Leaves TNA Wrestling
Taz has officially parted ways with TNA Wrestling. The announcement was made on April 15, and came from TNA’s Executive Vice President of Creative and Talent Relations, John Gaburick.
Gaburick made the announcement through his official Twitter account, saying,
After 5+ years TNA & Taz have mutually decided to part ways. A champ in the ring & on the mic, we wish him nothing but success! @OfficialTAZ

Taz had been one of the voices of TNA Wrestling since June, 2009, after WWE decided to not renew his contract in April. Prior to joining the TNA broadcast team, Taz had been one of the voices of WWE “Smackdown” and “ECW.”
During his in-ring career, he spent most of his time competing for Paul Heyman’s ECW promotion, starting out at the Tazmaniac. He later was repackaged as a prize fighter, simply known as Taz.
He created his own championship in the promotion, the FTW (F*** the World) championship, and had notable feuds with superstars such as Sabu and Bam Bam Bigalow before heading to WWE in 2000.
Editor’s Note:
It’ll be interesting to see if Taz and WWE do anything in the future again. For now, you can hear Taz on his “Human Podcast Machine” podcast.
