The WWE’s annual Summer-time Pay-Per-View extravaganza, SummerSlam, may be held in London in the near future. A report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter claims that conversations about taking the event across the pond have taken place.
The WWE just embarked on a European tour, which saw both “Monday Night Raw” and “Smackdown” filmed in Manchester, England. It is said that some WWE officials backstage love the atmosphere of the UK fans, and would want to take one of the “Big Four” WWE PPV events over there in the future. There has been no word however to how serious the company’s plans are to take a major PPV overseas.
