In a recent interview with Steven Muehlhausen of BetweenTheRopes.com, WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin calls Roman Reigns the next “mega-star” of professional wrestling. Austin was featured on the show on June 26 and was promoting “The Broken Skull Challenge”, when he also comments on future WWE superstars and who he thinks has what it takes to make it big time.

“The Broken Skull Challege” is a reality show/gameshow which will air on CMT on Sunday, July 6 at 8 p.m. ET. People engage in contests out at Austin’s Broken Skull Ranch for prize money on the program. One of the questions Austin answered while on “Between The Ropes” was about which WWE star would do well if that had to compete in “The Broken Skull Challenge.” Austin says,

“I think Seth Rollins and Antonio Cesaro might be able to get through the course. But you know, they would have to get through the challenges first and had the competitions and then take on the course. It would be very interesting to see Seth Rollins compete against Antonio Cesaro at the Broken Skull Challenge.”

Austin then gets into talking about who the next mega-stars of the business are going to be, in which he endorses former Shield member Roman Reigns. He says,

“Whew, that’s a great question. There’s three guys who have big superstars written on them. I think Bray Wyatt is one of them, Cesaro is one of them, but when I got to mention the guy your asking for is Roman Reigns. He happens to be related to The Rock. Good looking kid, damn good worker in the ring, I want to know some more about his promos. But man, if I got to look at the roster right now and say whose my next megastar, his name is Roman Reigns.”

Editor’s Note:
I think it’s safe to say that everyone thinks that once Reigns gets solid on the microphone, that he’s going to be unstoppable.
