*UPDATE: @CrankyVince has been resurrected since this story hit the web! Read about his comeback here!*

“CrankyVince” is no longer active on Twitter. The “@CrankyVince” account, which was highly speculated to be run by a WWE employee, was recently deleted, and according to a new report from wrestling analyst and performer Justin LaBar, may have been shut down by Vince McMahon himself.

LaBar claims in a new post over at WrestleZone.com, that some within the company are saying that McMahon may have finally discovered who was behind the brash (and often NSFW) Twitter account that mocked the WWE CEO, and had that person erase “CrankyVince” from existence. According to WWE sources, McMahon had a love/hate relationship with “CrankyVince’s” tweets. Sometimes he would die out laughing from what “CrankyVince” had to say, and other times he would fly off the handle in anger because of it.

JBL was once rumored to be the man behind “CrankyVince,” when @CrankyVince and JBL sent the exact same tweet out just seconds following each other. JBL has continually denied being behind the parody account, while others believe he may truly have been the culprit.

LaBar claims that sources believe that the reason the account has been deleted is because McMahon went to the “Cranky” tweeter and handled the matter privately. It is said that McMahon would not publicly address the matter since this person had “CrankyVince” running for years and to admit that someone had gotten the best of him for that long would embarrass him.

Editor’s Note:
I will severely miss @CrankyVince. The account usually had something awful to say…but it was pretty freakin’ entertaining.
