New advertisements for WWE Live Events in May provide further proof that Bray Wyatt is set to feud with Ryback next. As previously reported, Ryback had been rumored to be the man Wyatt is discussing in his latest cryptic promos.
With the latest set of local advertisements for WWE house shows at different venues throughout May, it appears that Wyatt will be working with Ryback and beginning a feud that could last a few months. Wyatt hasn’t worked in a multi-month program with someone since his feud with Dean Ambrose at the end of 2014.
Wyatt did use cryptic promos to build towards his single match with The Undertaker at WrestleMania 31 for three months, but the two men were only in the ring together at WrestleMania. Rebuke has been in desperate need of a legitimate program for a while.
WWE officials have wanted Ryback to enter into a meaningful feud for sometime now, says Dave Meltzer of “Wrestling Observer Radio.” He also states that Wyatt is directing his promos to someone dedicated, has had a second chance, and that lifts weights a lot. This is said to be aimed at Ryback, who’s career got a re-charge when he joined Team Cena during the build-up towards “Survivor Series” in November of 2014.
WWE officials believe that Wyatt can help elevate Ryback on a much bigger scale, making him a believable main event superstar yet again. It is said that the duo may begin facing each other in bouts beginning in May at WWE “Payback.” Until then, Wyatt will continue to cut promos in the backstage area that are directed to Mr. “Feed Me More,” and the vignettes will continue to air before Ryback matches, much like during the April 20 edition of “Monday Night Raw.”
