During the April 20 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” WWE seemingly writes The Miz off WWE TV during a backstage segment featured on the WWE App. As previously reported, Miz is set to miss the next three-to-four weeks of television tapings while he films his role for the upcoming WWE Studios’ motion picture, “Santa’s Little Helper.”

Miz, with an assist from his “Marine 4” co-star Summer Rae, was victorious over Damien Mizdow during the April 20 “RAW,” allowing him to keep his “Hollywood” persona, entrance theme music, move set, etc. Mizdow will now have to go back to being Damien Sandow it seems.

Following their match, Miz appeared on the WWE App in a backstage segment, where he claims he’s heading back to Hollywood to film his next “blockbuster” film. This is WWE’s way of likely writing Miz off WWE television until late-May or early-June.

Joining Miz in taking a leave of absence is WWE Diva Paige. She was recently written off WWE television via an injury angle. After winning the No. 1 Contender Divas Battle Royal on April 13, Naomi attacked Paige and left her “injured” and incapable of competing at WWE “Extreme Rules” on April 26. Naomi will face Nikki Bella for the Divas Championship at the event instead.

You can watch the backstage segment in full here.

Editor’s Note:

Well, we knew he would be leaving, we just didn’t know how. See ya in a month there, Miz.
