As we reported during the WWE Payback PPV broadcast, former WWE and ECW Champion Rob Van Dam will soon be wrestling for the WWE once again. Monday morning’s buzz around the “one of a kind” superstar has had the Internet Wrestling Community wanting to know more details surrounding Van Dam’s upcoming re-debut. As reported by multiple sites, all of this excitement is providing more information about Rob Van Dam’s upcoming return.

Many reports are stating that Van Dam has signed a limited appearance, short-term contract with the WWE, much like the original contract that Brock Lesnar signed back in 2012. This contract will allow Van Dam to only travel part-time and work primarily just PPV events. The length of his upcoming tenure with the company could be as little as 6 months or as long as a year. His first match back in the WWE will be at the July PPV event, Money in the Bank. It is generally assumed that Van Dam will compete in one, if not both, Money in the Bank Ladder Matches for an opportunity to fight for one of the WWE’s top tier titles; the WWE Championship and the World Heavyweight Championship.
