Former TNA Knockouts Champion Mickie James turned down guaranteed money to walk away from TNA. As we previously reported, James opted to not re-sign a TNA contract two weeks ago, allowing her current contract to expire and making herself a free agent.

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that James was reportedly offered $60,000 a year to stay with the company, but she refused the offer. James, who is also a former WWE Women’s Champion, would like another run in the WWE, and is already taking independent bookings to fill her open schedule.

It is being reported that James currently charges $1,800 for an independent appearance. James also has a Country music career and plays shows for supplemental income, charging $3,750 to $5,000 a performance, depending on the length of the set and how many band members she has playing with her that night.
