It looks like the rumors are true, Mark Henry will retire Monday night on RAW. As we previously reported, Henry teased a retirement announcement on RAW during the WWE’s June PPV event, Payback. After he posted the “cryptic” tweets, the internet buzz surrounding these rumors became intense.
New video promos stating that Henry was returning to action started airing about a week ago, around the same time that we learned that WWE officials were planning on using Henry in matches at Money in the Bank and Summerslam. His comments about retiring contradict the earlier reports, and seem to be confirmed by “the World’s Strongest Man” himself. Henry sent these tweets out on Monday night…

Henry has been wrestling in the WWE since 1996. He leaves behind a legacy with the Nation of Domination, some Sexual Chocolate, a Hall of Pain, and a few title runs. He also leaves behind a “13 year old son”, Hand Henry. If these tweets aren’t serving as just a swerve for the Internet Wrestling Community, make sure you tune into RAW tonight to see Henry bow out of a respectable career.
