WWE “Legends House: Season 2” may be canceled. The latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter claimed that the second season of the popular WWE Network program, “Legends House,” has been delayed, and possibly canceled due to WWE budget cuts.
As previously reported, Vince McMahon and WWE executives are striving to cut corners wherever possible when it comes to company spending. WWE Network programming has been discussed as something that the company could eliminate or push back for the time being to save money, with the upcoming season of “Tough Enough” getting delayed as well as “Legends House.”
According to the report, the idea was to have “Legends House: Season 2” filmed in Florida this October, but now there may not even be a second season. One television source in a country where “Legends House” currently airs on TV was recently told there will not be a second season, according to reports.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter claims that WWE sources have gone on to say that there will be a second season of the show, but the company will film the next season of “Tough Enough” first, meaning that if “Legends House: Season 2” does happen, it likely would not even be filmed until early 2015.
It should be noted that besides WWE Pay-Per-Views, the premiere season of “Legends House” was consistently the most watched original WWE program on the WWE Network following its debut, which is why the company initially wanted to make a second season. They also have been lobbying for Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan to be a part of said season. However, production for WWE reality programming is expensive, thus leading to the assumption that the program has been shelved for the time being.
Editor’s Note:
I enjoyed season one. I hope at SOME point they do another season.
