A Ladder Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship has been set for “Money In The Bank” on June 14. Seth Rollins will defend his WWE title against Deam Ambrose in a Ladder Match at the June Pay-Per-View.
Following Ambrose’s win by disqualification at “Elimination Chamber” on May 31, the Lunatic Fringe stole Rollins’ championship belt. The Authority would then demand that Ambrose would return the strap to the champion during the June 1 edition of “Monday Night Raw.”
However, instead of Ambrose, Roman Reigns joined Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, Rollins, Kane, and J&J Security in the ring during “RAW,” telling them that Ambrose was not in the building. He also said that he would not return the WWE World Heavyweight Championship belt to Rollins until a Ladder Match was added to “Money In The Bank” for the title.
Rollins agreed to the match in an aggressive fashion, calling Kane a piece of crap, and shouting that he didn’t need The Authority to beat Ambrose in Triple H’s face. The match now makes the third official bout on the “Money In The Bank” card.
The classic Money in the Bank Ladder Match will also take place during the PPV, as well as a rematch between NXT Champion Kevin Owens, and United States Champion John Cena.
Editor’s Note:
YES! We actually predicted this during “Wrestling Warm-Up.” This is why you need to be watching our “RAW” pre-show each week at 6:30 p.m. ET. We give you the goods before the show actually gets underway.
