Former WWE Champion and TNA Hall of Famer Kurt Angle is done with TNA Wrestling on Sept. 21. The Olympic gold medalist confirmed that his current contract expires on Sept. 21 during the latest edition of WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross’ podcast, “The Ross Report.”
Angle goes on to tell Ross that his TNA deal comes to an end on Sept. 21, and that the company has offered him a new contract. However, Angle is not likely going to sign the new TNA deal, as he told Ross that he wants to weigh out his options.
During the interview, Angle tells Ross that his next run will likely be his last, and he doesn’t know if he’s going to end his career in TNA. Many months ago, Angle expressed his desire to return to WWE and end his career where it started.
Angle has even told fans that he will be returning to WWE once his current TNA run is completed. While nothing is confirmed as of yet, and Angle could still sign the new deal with TNA Wrestling, many believe that he will in fact be returning to WWE and engage in one final run with the company. He’ll then be a candidate for the WWE Hall of Fame soon thereafter.
Recently, Angle was spotted on the same plane as many other WWE employees. He was heading to TNA taping in New York City, and WWE crew members were heading home from television tapings as well. However, the WWE employees wound up taking photos of Angle passed out on the plane, and were reportedly sharing them around backstage, claiming that Angle was intoxicated. None of those rumors, besides the photos being taken, have been confirmed.
Editor’s Note:
PLEASE come back Angle. You NEED to finish your career in WWE. And as far as those pictures go, HE COULDA JUST BEEN SLEEPING?!?!?! Come on man. Give the guy some respect.
