John Cena is working hurt. A Wrestling Observer Newsletter report claims that Cena has been in a lot pain during the recent WWE European tour, with the belief being that he made his return too soon and his arm is not completely healed.

Cena underwent surgery to repair torn a triceps muscle in his left arm just after SummerSlam in August. He then returned to active competition for the WWE almost four months earlier than doctor’s originally predicted, winning the World Heavyweight Championship from Alberto Del Rio at Hell in a Cell in October.

With being the new World Heavyweight Champion, Cena’s schedule is now more demanding than what it was when he reigned as WWE Champion. The World title is expected to be seen on “Smackdown” each and every week as well as on “Monday Night Raw,” meaning Cena has to perform more than he was before his triceps injury.

The biggest issue here is that both Cena and the WWE want the reigning World Champion to be 100% and not re-injury his arm. With Cena being in so much pain, it seems as if him being 100% right now just isn’t an option.
