Former WWE Champion and injured superstar John Cena says he is ready to return to active competition. As we previously reported, it was announced Monday night on RAW that Cena will be returning to the WWE on October 27th in Miami, Florida at Hell in a Cell. He will be the challenger to Alberto Del Rio’s World Heavyweight Championship.

As expected, Cena is returning much sooner than planned. His recovery time was slated as four-t0-six months, but he’ll be returning in just under three. The company wanted him back on television in October to be the face of the “Rise Above Cancer” campaign, but initially had not planned on him being ready to compete.

Cena began his “Rise Above Cancer” media circuit Tuesday morning by visiting with the hosts of ABC’s Good Morning, America! On the program, Cena says he is ready to return. He also says,

“I’m finally ready to go, I feel good! I’m back!”

You can his appearance here. Cena will also be doing interviews today with CNN, E! Entertainment Network, and The Huffington Post hyping both the “Rise Above Cancer” campaign and WWE Hell in a Cell.
