WWE Tag Team Champion Jey Uso has reported been “injured” even more at the hands of Stardust. WWE.com is reporting that Stardust’s attack with a steel chair during the Sept. 1 edition of “Monday Night Raw” has “re-aggravated” Uso’s knee injury. However, all of this is strictly for their storyline.
Uso was not actually injured at the hands of Stardust, but is selling the injury for the angle being worked between the two teams, which will likely lead to a match between them for the WWE Tag Team Championship at “Night of Champions” on Sept. 21. WWE.com, as usual, made a report on the injury to further sell the story, saying,
“This evening during [Jimmy Uso’s match with Goldust, Jey] sustained forceful, direct blunt trauma to his left knee with a chair [strike] to the knee while his leg was wrapped around the ring post. We brought him back to the training room and took a look at his knee. All the external ligaments seem to be intact, but we’re worried about internal ligament damage as well as possible fractures, so we’ve set him up for further evaluations with X-rays and an MRI.”
WWE physician Dr. Chris Amann is the man that made the “diagnosis.” As previously noted, this “injury” is strictly for storyline purposes and these two teams are expected to face each other on Sept. 21 at “Night of Champions.
Editor’s Note:
Hey, whatever man. It’s giving Stardust and Goldust a heel edge, which they needed. Go full heel I say.
