Former WWE Champion JBL has acknowledged CM Punk’s departure from WWE on Twitter. JBL, real name John Layfield, made mention to the reports of Punk being gone from the company on Friday night, saying that he was honored to have been a part of some of Punk’s first main events. He then wishes “The Best in the World,” the best.
JBL took to Twitter to make his remarks, saying,
Was great honor to be a part of some of @cmpunk ‘s 1st main events, including MSG. Don’t know details of him leaving, wish my friend th best

Reports of Punk walking out on World Wrestling Entertainment seemingly took the world by storm during the week of Jan. 27. The news broke early on Jan. 28 that Punk had told WWE owner and CEO Vince McMahon he was “going home” just before the Jan. 27 edition of “Monday Night Raw” went live.
Multiple stories of why Punk left have emerged since the initial reports hit the web, with neither Punk nor WWE acknowledging the situation or confirming that Punk is gone. WWE has however removed Punk from all live appearances in the near future, including WrestleMania XXX AXXESS, where his spot at the panel will be replaced by two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair.
Punk did reveal a number of frustrations with WWE on Jan. 24 while appearing at the Wizard World Comic-Con in Portland, Ore. Among his complaints was WWE management.
While the details of Punk’s departure are still unknown, it seems as if he truly has walked out on the company that turned him into a world-wide name in professional wrestling. Though no one knows for sure if Punk has officially parted ways with WWE, JBL making mention to the recent events continues to prove that this is a topic that not very many people know the answers too.
