In a statement to TMZ.com, who broke the news earlier regarding the deceased WWE Hall of Famer, Hulk Hogan comments on the late “Rowdy” Roddy Piper’s death, extending condolences to his family. As previously reported, Piper passed away on July 30 due to a cardiac arrest in his sleep. He was 61 years old.
Hogan made the following statement about Piper’s passing,
“He was my best friend. He is a legend. God’s gain is our loss. May his family in this time of need, find peace. Much love forever, HH.”
The last time Hogan and Piper were in a ring together on WWE television during Hogan’s birthday celebration on Aug. 11, 2014. However, the two have reportedly kept in tough since the segment, which you can see below.
Piper’s last appearance on WWE TV was on Dec. 22, 2014, when he hosted a “Piper’s Pit” segment with Rusev and Lana. You can also watch a clip of that segment below.
