Former WWE and WCW superstar Lex Luger’s health continues to decline. Fan reports were confirmed via reports from other sites in regards to Luger’s state of health during a fan fest during the weekend of Aug. 1.
Reports from fans that attended the event were supported by a story featured on WrestleChat.net, which states that Luger was confined to a wheelchair throughout the entire Mid-Atlantic Wrestling Legends Fanfest that took place in Charlotte, N.C. from Aug. 1-3.
The 56 year-old was not only confined to a wheelchair, but he reportedly had to sign autographs with a pen stuck between his ring and pinky fingers. Luger recently had been seen walking with a cane, but his health has apparently now deteriorated to the point where he needs the assistance of a chair.
On Oct. 19, 2007, Luger suffered a spinal stroke that led to temporary paralysis. He had recovered greatly since the stroke, even gaining the ability to walk with a cane and drive a car again. However, it seems as if he is now dealing with issues with his health yet again.
Luger recently released an auto-biography entitled “Wrestling With the Devil: The True Story of a World Champion Wrestler – His Reign, Ruin, and Redemption.”
Editor’s Note:
So sad. I love Lex. He’s definitely in my prayers.
