Darren Young to be Featured in People Magazine

Darren Young will be featured in this week’s issue of People Magazine. In the feature, Young talks about his career and being a homosexual. Portions of the interview with Young have hit the web, revealing that the Prime Time Player was terrified to come out publicly about his sexuality.About coming out, Young said,

“I was terrified of losing friends, losing my job, just everything. I had no idea what would happen if I came out.”

Young revealed that he was a homosexual to only a handful of people when he was competing in the WWE NXT program a couple of years ago, and continued to lead a “double life” until he went public with his sexuality on August 15th of this year.

Young talks about being tired of hiding from the truth and from his peers, and that he wanted to be able to take his boyfriend of two years with him to WWE functions.

His tag team partner, Titus O’Neil, has publicly encouraged and supported his fellow Prime Time Player, saying,

“His sexual orientation never had anything to do with him as a person, and at the end of the day it shouldn’t matter.”

The issue will be released on Friday, October 4th.
