In a recent interview with Chad Dukes of “Chad Dukes’ Wrestling Show,” UFC President Dana White claims Brock Lesnar wasn’t likely to return to UFC after his initial three-year deal with WWE, which ended on March 30, was up. As previously reported, Lesnar re-signed with WWE for three more years and will work for the company until 2018.
As seen and heard on WrestlingRumors.net, among other avenues, the UFC-WWE-BellatorMMA “Brock Lesnar bidding war” was a big story heading into WrestleMania 31. No one knew whether or not Lesnar, who had dropped weight in case he was to return to MMA, would stay in WWE or leave for the ultimate fighting world yet again on March 30. The bidding war was said to have been Lesnar discussing what he would be worth to all three companies, in hopes to get a bigger pay day in WWE.
In the interview, White says he never really thought Lesnar was actually going to return to MMA to begin with, and that he figured Lesnar would stay in WWE. He said the following to Dukes when asked how close Lesnar actually was to signing a deal with UFC,
“Not very close at all. We’d known that Brock was probably going to take a pass and go back to wrestling, which was the right move.
You know, Brock came in here, he did incredible things and he got a great deal from Vince. He’s 38 years old, man. It makes all the sense in the world.”
Lesnar announced that he had signed a new three-year contract with WWE during a pre-WrestleMania edition of “Sports Center” on ESPN. During the interview, he said that his days as a MMA fighter are over, and that he enjoys working for WWE, getting full-time pay as a part-time worker.

Editor’s Note:
Funny how these situations go. It was likely known by everybody that Lesnar wasn’t actually gonna go back to UFC, he just played the cards for the cash.
