According to a new report from the Wrestling Observer Radio show, creative plans for Hulk Hogan’s WWE return have been finalized. Though details on when Hogan will be making his first official televised appearance for World Wrestling Entertainment since 2007 have not yet been revealed, the report claims that the WWE Universe may see Hogan as early as Jan. 26 at the 2014 WWE “Royal Rumble.”
Hogan has claimed that he will be working WrestleMania XXX, while rumors surrounding his involvement with the event have been running wild since October of 2013. Some reports claim that Hogan may wrestle in a tag team bout featuring John Cena, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, The Real Americans, or all of the above. Others have claimed that Hogan will not be competing in a match, but that he will be featured during the event as more of an on-screen host.
Again, without the details, speculation will continue about how Hogan will impact WWE TV in the upcoming weeks leading to WrestleMania XXX. However, it seems as if Hogan’s involvement with the event is a guarantee. Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio discussed Hogan’s return saying that it could occur the night following the Elimination Chamber PPV on “Monday Night Raw,” or it could happen as early as the “Royal Rumble.” Hogan’s appearance on the Feb. 24 edition of “Monday Night Raw” would coincide with the launch of the WWE Network, which is why that date is also a very real possibility.
