The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has provided some bad news regarding Daniel Bryan’s health and return. The report states that after a recent exam, it was revealed that Bryan has a number of different shoulder and neck issues which may require more surgeries, especially on the shoulder.
There is now no good estimate as to when Bryan may return, as what surgeries he will need to have are uncertain, which means his recovery time is uncertain. Bryan initially had neck surgery following “Extreme Rules” in May to relieve pressure on nerves after losing feeling in his left arm. Following the surgery, it was discovered that Bryan actually had more issues than previously thought.
Bryan, who had ascended to the top of the WWE mountain in 2014, won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XXX and was set to be one of the top two players in the company alongside John Cena. Following the first surgery and news of further complications, Bryan was stripped of the WWE World Heavyweight title, and the championship was put on Cena during the June 29 “Money In The Bank” event.
With Bryan’s absence being indefinite, all storylines that were being written for his return will be placed on hold or scrapped completely.
Editor’s Note:
Sad news. Bryan worked his BUTT off to make it to the top, and his body paid for it. Here’s hoping he gets better very soon and can return to the ring healthier than ever.
