A new report from Justin Labar of WrestleZone.com has provided some backstage news on Kofi Kingston’s future with WWE. Kingston is reportedly due for a character and card-status change sometime during the upcoming months.

The report claims that Kingston is going to be handed a new gimmick going forward, including new entrance music and position on the card. While it is uncertain as to what direction WWE’s creative team will take with Kingston, especially in the case of “heel” or “face,” it is said that he has become a priority talent and will be seen and heard from more often.

Kingston defeated WWE World Champion Randy Orton during the Jan. 13 edition of “Monday Night Raw.” His victory over the current “face of the WWE” is supposedly a “first step” of sorts for Kingston, and further changes will soon come for the former mid-card champion.
