It has been previously reported that WWE is in the process of testing its “Raw” superstars for various illnesses, including viral meningitis.

The company has released the following statement concerning these reports and rumors:

“We have confirmed that three of our performers have been diagnosed with a viral infection. As a precautionary measure, we are ensuring in-ring performers and staff are tested and immunized in accordance with recommended medical guidelines.”

As a result of this medical scare, the company was forced to change two of the major matches that were to take place at “TLC” this weekend. AJ Styles will be replacing Bray Wyatt (Sister Abigail), to go one-on-one with “The Demon” Finn Balor.

The other, and more significant change, is that Kurt Angle will be making his long-anticipated return to the ring and will replace Roman Reigns in the main event of the show. The 5-on-3 Handicap Match will now feature Angle, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose vs. The Miz, Cesaro, Sheamus, Braun Strowman and the returning Kane.

We will continue to monitor this story and provide any updates as they become available to us.
