According to a report from PWInsider, Dean Broadhead, who is the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of TNA, posted the following message on his personal Facebook page regarding the production of “Slammiversary” this past weekend:
“On Thursday and Friday, I logged over 80 business calls on my cell…attorneys, accountants, vendors, bankers, and employees. Maybe time to retire but maybe not until everything is in the right place. To answer why, I had a 12-hour timeframe to secure interim financing so that the production trucks could come – lawyers, bankers, accountants, and owners. Some of them were out of the country. Some were on the west coast and some were on the east coast. That was the reason for all of the calls.”
He would go on to say that perhaps it was time for him to retire, but not until everything is in the right place.
It is no secret that TNA has had significant financial woes for a long time, with recent reports saying that their offices were being relocated due to eviction. Things may improve however, as recent reports have surfaced that Aroluxe Marketing has taken ownership of the company. It should also be noted that senior producer, and former “Smashing Pumpkins” lead singer Billy Corgan, is in the process of finalizing a deal to become a new minority owner in the company as well.
Editor’s Note:
It’s unfortunate that we only hear about negative things from TNA. Although I didn’t watch the pay-per-view, I heard that “Slammiversary” was overall a very good show, and it’s no secret that there is a lot of talent in that company. Hopefully things will improve sooner rather than later for all those involved.
