Kick-off Show – United States Championship: Kalisto (c) vs. Alberto Del Rio in a
2-out-of-3 falls Match
Kalisto and Alberto Del Rio have developed quite the rivalry over the last month. After winning the United States Championship from Del Rio on the January 11 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” Del Rio would reclaim his title a few days later. This reign would not last however, as Kalisto would defeat “Mexico’s Greatest Export” at the “Royal Rumble” to once again become the US Champion.
This should be another great contest between these two superstars, and adding the 2-out-of-3 falls stipulation provides additional drama. But what does it do for the US Title? It has been relegated to the pre-show of a pay-per-view, after being held in such high regard in 2015. This was, of course, due to the John Cena US Open Challenge occurring each week.
