Many people felt that this was a planned change in the middle of the match, due to the fact that it appeared that Charlotte had injured Banks during a sequence of moves.
According to a report from PWInsider, this is not the case, and the title change was the original plan going into the event. Banks has had some nagging injuries for a while now, and has been given some time off to heal. Banks’ injuries did not come from Charlotte during their match.
WrestlingInc.com reported after the match that “The Boss” had been pulled from upcoming WWE Live Events, and was not scheduled to return until September 23 in Moline, Illinois.
We will continue to monitor this story, and will provide updates as they become known to us.
Editor’s Note:
While it definitely looked like the match between Charlotte and Banks was not their finest outing, I’m not surprised that this is the case. As wrestling fans, sometimes we see what we see in a match, and immediately make judgments about what happened. I’m guilty of this too. But, a lot of times it is good to wait and see what the dirt sheets say, so that we can get a clear picture of the facts. Either way, I hope that Sasha Banks recovers soon, and that we see “The Boss” back and better than ever.
