Rumor: Why Did Finn Balor Lose Clean To Baron Corbin On Raw?

This is only a rumor, so take it for what it’s worth.

Last week on Raw, Baron Corbin defeated Finn Balor cleanly, which surprised many fans around the world. This, especially since The Constable seems to be going out of his way to make The Demon King miserable on WWE television.

But what was the reason for the booking?

According to Dave Meltzer from Wrestling Observer, via a report from GiveMeSport, the reason is because WWE is planning to set up a match between Corbin and Roman Reigns. Therefore, the company used Balor as the ‘set-up’ guy so The Constable could get more heat on him going into the match with The Big Dog.

I don’t know if I believe this or not; however, I do believe that Corbin has been doing his best work since being on the main roster. This Constable gimmick has been working for him quite well, and I look forward to seeing where this goes in the future. As for Balor, I firmly believe that it will only be a matter of time before he is back on top of the WWE mountain.
